BellyBuds®
Sound packaging protection for a product that plays music for babies in the womb.

Bellybuds is a very popular bellyphone product that lets an expectant mother play music and sounds for their baby in the womb. Problem

Launching an innovative product with packaging that’s just as innovative.

With Bellybuds, a pregnant mom can safely play memory-shaping sounds directly to the womb to promote a connection between the mom and her baby before birth. But before the new product could launch nationwide, it needed a paper-based packaging solution to properly protect the electronics speaker system. The packaging also needed to provide the mom with a great brand experience as she opened the box. It was a complex engineering challenge that EnviroPAK was about to solve.

Solution

An ideal packaging solution born out of an engineering mindset.

For Bellybuds, EnviroPAK engineers put their minds to work to meet multiple design requirements. The result was a compact molded fiber tray engineered to fit perfectly within the exterior packaging to ensure the electronics product was held securely in place during shipping. The tray was also designed to make the actual Bellybuds product the hero when a mom opened the packaging. Another added benefit was the molded fiber tray that was compostable and biodegradable. This helped drive the buying decision of moms since they knew Bellybuds were a positive purchase for their baby, and the environment.
