Happy Earth Day!

Today marks 50 years of Earth Day! The first Earth Day took place on April 22, 1970 and is credited with launching the modern environmental movement and is now recognized as the planet’s largest civic event.
Earth Day is a time to reflect and be thankful for everything the Earth does for us. It is also a time to give back and think of ways we can work to better support the Earth for future generations.

COVID-19 Message

We hope all of you and your families are doing well in these strange, difficult times. Just as you would with your family, the EnviroPAK team will do everything we can to keep ourselves and our co-workers safe and healthy through this crisis. In a separate communication we touched on what we are doing and since then we have implemented additional measures.
You may have heard that our local and regional governments have issued a “Stay at Home Order” or similar orders that mandate that residents of our area stay at home except in specific circumstances. Each of those orders make specific exceptions for businesses that are considered essential to the supply chain.
The Federal Government has identified us as an essential industry: For example, we make packaging for IT & Telecommunications, Soaps & Detergents, Medical, Food & Nutrition, Beverages, and Home Repair (Plumbing) supplies. Many of these products are packaged for sale direct to households as well – an important outlet in support of efforts to control the spread of this virus.
Because of this, we want to let you know that we intend to continue producing our EnviroPAK molded pulp packaging products on all production lines and all shifts as staffing is available. We will do our best to meet the ever-changing demands.

Enjoy your to-go cup of joe

According Sustainability – Beyond Business as Usual report. Among consumers 18-49:
79% agree recycling paper-based products is worthwhile 69% agree recycling is environmentally friendly 61% agree recycling is worth the cost to tax payers.
Recycling rates would improve if consumers had simple and clear instructions for how to recycle different common categories of products, especially for coffee cups.

EnviroPAK Names Patrick McSwain as President

As it celebrates its 25th year as a leading national manufacturer of recycled and sustainable molded pulp packaging, EnviroPAK is pleased to announce the promotion of several members of its leadership team.

Patrick McSwain, who currently serves as EnviroPAK’s Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, transitions to the role of President effective February 24, 2020. Patrick replaces Chris Miget, who is a founding investor in the company and has led the business since 2013. Chris will continue with EnviroPAK in an advisory role through March and will remain as an active investor and member of the Board of Directors.

Nick Follmer takes on an expanded role as Director of Operations. Mike Lewis and Dan Mueller have also been promoted into the roles of Production and Maintenance Managers, respectively.

“I am humbled to take on the leadership of EnviroPAK as we enter our next quarter century and look to build upon the successes this team has had in bringing high quality, and environmentally responsible, custom packaging solutions to market,” said McSwain. “As Chris and the founders of EnviroPAK know, we have the best team on the field – I hope to continue to help give them the tools they need to deliver for our customers and our community as we know they can. I’d also like to thank Chris for his leadership at EnviroPAK, and for the tutoring and mentorship he has provided me and countless others at EnviroPAK along the way.”
