Companies Will Explore Benefits Based on Consumer Data

As consumer interest in composting continues to rise, the idea of composting is still new to Americans when compared to other parts of the world. During SustPack 2016, composting was identified as one of the fastest-growing areas of sustainability that brands and manufacturers were interested in exploring.

The Sustainable Packaging Coalition is responding to this growth with a new label to let the public know that their package is certified compostable. When we list the environmental benefits of switching to a molded pulp package, we are proud to say that our packaging material is compostable. We’re seeing this become a bigger driver for companies when deciding on a material more and more lately.
