Brands are Searching for Responsible Packaging Options
Packa2ging World released their packaging trends for 2016 and we see the narrative once again: sustainability matters. As brands are searching for environmentally friendly packaging options, consumers are putting the pressure on brands to be more environmentally responsible.
Two key initiatives are beginning to resonate: 1) focus on alternative package material sources (like molded pulp) and 2) catering to the 63 percent of U.S. consumers who have stated that reusable and re-purposable packaging is a key purchasing driver. Going forward, brands cannot afford to ignore this “ecologically friendly” purchasing driver as they develop their brand positioning and marketing strategies.
