24-Month Period Sees 1.8 Billion in Economic Investment
In an annual report by the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, we find that St. Louis has had an outstanding year in business. Between major expansions (including EnviroPAK) and new additions, St. Louis has seen explosive growth in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Since 2013, St. Louis has welcomed more than 8,520 jobs and more than $1.8 Billion in private investment. Additionally, more than 4,128,700 square feet of announced construction has taken place, resulting in $2.7 Billion worth of economic impact.
With bio/high tech companies growing at a rapid pace, St. Louis has quickly become a hotbed for life science startups. St. Louis now boasts the largest concentration of plant science PhDs, 750.
