Our oceans are awash with tons of thrown-away plastic

Have you wondered where all that plastic goes; the answer may surprise you. The ocean! About a third of all plastic packaging “leaks” into the environment, littering the land or sea. One young man is trying to clean up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Clean up is necessary, but prevention is sustainable. What if the product in the Great Pacific was compostable or biodegradable, we would have prevention. Molded fiber is used in a wide variety of applications, including nursery/flower pots because it can be planted and in a short amount of time begin to degrade into the soil. So in the event that molded fiber packaging “leaks” into the environment, you won’t find it in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
